Nota bene on reading:
Dec. 20th, 2007 12:40 am(#178) I assume all protagonists are female, and most if not all narrators are queer. Always. This means that when I am reading crappy fiction like the book B left me on her way back from Kenya, I am pleasantly surprised for the first four pages that a) B has brought me queer fiction and b) it's queer fiction from an author about whom I've heard nothing.
Then, um, four pages in, I notice the brief phrase "For most guys..."
"Guys?" I think to myself, "What's this author talking about? Oh..."
